[The connection that had been dulling steadily, fraught with emotion and pain, settles into something almost peaceful. Albert dresses quickly but carefully, covering the marks on his neck with an airy scarf, and heads to where he knows Ignis to be.

The door is open, so he lets himself in. Belatedly, he thinks he should have knocked, or brought flowers, or done anything but just barge in, and the second he looks at Ignis with his dead, dull eyes, the feeling of guilt radiates from him.

There's a long pause, where he just stares, then the saddest, faintest smile comes to his lips.]


The roses. They were so thoughtful. I'll have Mr. Moran plant them at once.

[It's all he can think to say.]
